Oboist Amy Mengying Han has performed in numerous countries throughout Europe and Asia. Awards and honors include the First prize and Outstanding Performance Prize in the Second Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival, where performed in Vienna’s historic Musikverein. In 2020, she joined the Youth Music China in Guangzhou, led by Yo-Yo Ma, and performed Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No.1 as principal oboe. Amy’s first introduction to the oboe began at the age of seven with Professor Dun Zhu in the Central Conservatory in Beijing. Her studies have led her to summer programs including the Brevard Music Festival and the Domaine Forget International Music Festival. Currently, Amy is a student at Lynn Conservatory of Music where she is pursuing her Doctor of Music degree under the tutelage of Nicholas Stovall.

An advocate to education, Amy dedicated herself in teaching. She had experience teaching beginners, K-12 students, amateur adults, and professionals in vary subjects. Her philosophy of teaching inspired students’ passion for music and the oboe. There’s one highlight that one of Amy’s students recently get accepted by the preparatory department of Manhattan School of Music, Mannes School of Music.
